A leader in memory…

Two years ago, the people of the UAE were going through a difficult time, it is the time to say goodbye to the leader who made the country of seven states or emirates after being separate into one country named the United Arab Emirates. After his invitation to the other leaders of these states plus Qatar and Bahrain, only these states accepted his invitation (Qatar and Bahrain did not), the flag of the country was set, and this was in 1971. It seems to be a very new country. He was the first president, the only president until his death. Has was a president and a leader of only one emirate that is Abu Dhabi (the Capital), letting other emirates to be leaded by other six leaders. It is only country in the Middle East which has a president who leads the whole country, at the same time; every state has its own leader.
Under the time he leaded the country, many things were changed. The country was made of desert which nobody would think about it. No one knows what country was that. In thirty years, which is considered to be a short period of time, we had schools, universities, hospitals and all what we need to practice our life like every nation do all over the world. Schools and hospitals were provided to all people in the country, citizens and others.
I did not want to talk about the country but I want to talk about the lait leader so I had to give you a little background about the country. Let me tell you first that the name and the picture of the leader are in every citizen’s minds and almost all the people. I know you might think of that and say this is too much or my expression has less than what I mean but I believe that what I mean has more than what I can express. Since we were young, we believed that we (in this country) have two fathers, he the other one. He looked after the people as if he was one of them, and yes he was one of them. All people in neighbours’ countries wished to have someone to lead them the way he leaded us. He spent his time on moving from city to another to make his people happy and looks what they needed. Visiting people in their villages was a normal thing that he does and we can not find any other leader in the area that does the same. He was not afraid of loosing his chair in the government; he said “I’m not here to relax”. Since he is the president and belongs, we could have him one of the richest people around the world, but we have never heard that he was put in the list of these richest people such as other neighbours countries presidents, yes they are and every day we hear about a new one. They use the money of their countries to be invested for their themselves, forgetting about their people. We love him and he will stay in our memories and we will be talking about him as if he was the country and the country was him.

Finally found a place...

After being searching for long time for house, finally we found an apartment in area called WOLLI GREEK, just near by Sydney air port, but unfortunately it is not why me and my friends were looking for, we were looking for a house se we will be allowed to bring the new dog which my friend was promised about " It is in the way but we don't what we will do because I think they don't allow pets in the new apartment", we were searching hard, we tried all the ways but we couldn't make it. And now we are in a 6 months lease, so the only chance is to try to find any other place where we can keep our dog, I have seen many people have their own pets, everywhere in this country, whether they live in houses or apartments, but I don't know why they most real estates don't allow it, I think most people are breaking the rules and one day I will do it myself...

nothing to do with money...

Yesterday, I was asked by Mike Minehan (Teacher of Communication Environment) few questions, let me tell you about it plus let me explain things for you which I couldn't talk about in the class, maybe the answers were not ready at that time, any way these are the questions...
what is the situation of my country which is the United Arab Emirates?
Why people don't ask for democracy and why don't they argue about their freedom of speech? and if is that because they are rich?
How rich is it? from the point that this counrty is an oil producer and is rich of oil, is other poor countries in the middle east are selfish?
Let me tell you my opinion about all that...

Firstly, that's right, we don't have freedom of speech but let me tell you where, it's only when you come to talk the Royal Family, but in all other areas and things, everyone has a right to do whatever he/she wants to do or to say...

Is is a rich country? Yes it is..
Is it rich of oil? Yes it is..
But let me tell you that the money of the oil in this country goes to its people and their interests, the government of this country could have made the country one of the most powerful economic and business reas all over the world withen less than twenty years...
I have asked many people from those who are from the nighbours countries and their countries are rich as well and are considered as oil countries and have more money than my country.. but you would be surprised if I tell you about the way their governments deal with them..

What I want to say is that why would we argue about our leaders if they provide us everything we need, we haven't had any arguement about the lait leader who passed away two years ago (2/11/2004) He is my best person, he is like my father, he is my teacher, I won't say he was because he is still in my mind and he will live forever in the heart of the people of these countries.

Our democracy never depended on other countries point of view, we were practicing this democracy in a simple way, there is no media...
one reason is that beacuse of the little population in this country, any way, what I have learnt from My father who was one of the first people living in the country (most came after the coutry develpoed its economy) is that leaders used to sit with people and discuss their problems and try to solve them..
In my opinion, it is the best democracy where we all agree with that and there is no other countries who are trying to be a part of this democracy..
The government give a house to every couples who have two kids..
All Universities are to be joined for free.. And you may ask for schoolership to study overseas and get paid above all that..
All your medicare I mean hospitals and medicens are for free..
If you work in any part of the government, Schools, Universities, Police, Army, All these stuff you get paid nearly 5% of you salary for every kid you have...
What do we have to ask them more about..
other rich countries don't deal with their people like this , even they are more rich than us..

Iraq has more money and more oil than any country has..
Unfortunately you can see what is going on because of the democracy which the government of the USA trying to teach about..
They said it is a war of choice, a choice of teaching a democracy, but it is lost..
I believe not many people know about what is exactely going on there, but there are at least fifty people are deing everyday, is that the democracy they talking about any way this government is happy with other governments which are not practicing any democracy but they don't want to teach them as they are teaching the Iraqies...

haven't posted for long..

I haven’t posted any new finding for long, but the reason is that am moving out of my house plus the assignments of the other subjects. I think five subjects per semester are just too much. How lucky those students who take only four or maybe three subjects per semester. Any way we are close to do this, I mean when we get to the Uni not in Insearch. One semester left, don't forget plus two weeks after the holiday. Holiday of two weeks, I think will finish quickly but who knows what happened. I have no plan for it, but should find plan, it's only once a year. I remember, it will be the first holiday for me in Australia since I started my English course in last March. I have only taken one Easter holiday which was only for three days. The rest of holidays, I have spent them all in overseas. Last holiday, I remember, I left Sydney after handing my final assignment, this was on Friday, then I directly went to the airport and within 16 hours I was back home... Who knows what happen this time...

My little dog..

unfortunately..

After about four months, since the first time we brought Mickey, and after we started to get used to him, playing with him, feeding him, taking him whenever and wherever we want to go, something wrong happen with the little dog but we didn't know yet and we thought he is just sick..
At the beginning, we took him to a vet near by our area, the doctor said nothing wrong with Mickey.. but we didn't feel OK.. It's not Mickey that we used to know.. He is not playing with us.. He wants to sleep all the time.. He doesn't want to move and want to stay at the same place..
Any way, two days after that we took him to the same vet, but this time they said they need to test his blood.. but the results will be available in two days...
During these two days, me and my mate woke up and went to see Mickey, but this time we found him sleeping and can't move from his place and full of blood all over his face.. we took him straight away to the vet, they said it is poison...
By this, it was the last time that we saw him.. missing him.. soon we will bring another one but after moving from the house we live in at the moment...
My friend has just sent me this picture
of Mickey.. it's when he was at the age
of 8 weeks maybe.. I can't exactlly
remember but around this age..

Mickey in the city...

Once we were going to the city, we felt free and nothing to do so we decided to go to the city..
Our Mickey is home by himself... We couldn't leave him home..
We took him to everywhere.. even in the train which is not allowed to take dogs inside.. but that time we wanted to take him to the city to see how is Sydney.. It was a trip for him he liked it..
Of course he didn't pay for the ticket.. We didn't also.. It was for free
While we were in the train we met a guy.. He started to talk to us about Mickey..
He told us the story about dogs and that it's not allowed to take a dog in the train unless it is a guide dog and our one wasn't.. But anyway we are in the city now and we can't do anythign..
That day we were fine and nothing happen with us.. we were lucky the police didn't see us and we went back home pacefully...

Against the rules..

We started with Mickey.. It's the first dog for us.. We don't know much about dogs..
But we are asking about all things that we are worry about..
So we had to ask questions like: What do we have to feed him and what is not good for him or may be danger to eat.. It's too small so does he still need to drink milk or not..
How are we going to wash him and every how long.. We also had to take him to the Vet to take some injections or what whatever it was but he needed these things..
They told us in the vet that we can't take it outside to the park..
They told us we don't have to feed him somethings and we have to be careful with things..
I would say we were ignoring much of these things..

Getting use to Mickey...

Since the first night when we left Mickey in the backyard he started to cry and we couldn't sleep at that night, it was hard for him to leave his mother and the other puppyes but it was hard also for us to leave our beds abd stay with him the whole night but he is crying and we don't know what to do and this was the beginning of the test that we having...
My friend is calling the guys and telling them the stroy, some saying leave an alarm with a toy beside him so he feels some one is beside him and he may think it's his mother, and the other said the same, but we don't have any alarm at the moment, so we just lift for him a toy, he slept pacefully and we left..
In the morning, I had school, but I had to make sure he is fine, I went to have a look at him, since he say me he started to run on my side and crying but this time he was happy that he say someone after a silent night that he stayed by himself...
I put for him some food and water and I left and honeslty I was happy..

Finally we brought a DOG...

We brought a dog, yes we brought a male half German/half Rott..
Here is another thing we had to decide about "its NAME"..
We had no democracy in choosing the dog, that time, it was my choice but now it's not..
I suggested to name him Rockey but my mate said "no, the name will be Mickey"..
I couldn't say anything or argue because he told me you had that choice and this is his time..
Honestly the dog wasn't only for me, it was also for my mate and we had divide the things between us even the food and the cleaning hahahaa..
It has to be fair so no one gets angry..
From Now on, I will start to call him Mickey, no more dog, he has a name and you have to respect that...
Let me give you his ID:

Type: 1/2 German shepgherd and 1/2 Rottweiler
Age: 7 weeks old
Colour: Black and brown
size: Too samll ( This was at the beginning) so don't worry because our plan was to bring a gourd so it needs to be big, otherwise there is no point..
Picture:

Start searching...

There are many kinds of dog

OK.. We started to think about what kind of dogs will we be having..
My choice was to have a "German shepherd".. But my friend had a different choice, he wanted a "Husky" but Unfortunately we had no democracy at that time, a bad luck for him because I could persuade him to have a German shepherd..
Any way we stated to search on the Internet and finally we found someone who want to sell a dog which is half German and half Rottweiler, we liked it and we went to the guy, he was Greek guy, and he had a mother with five Puppyes, they were very nice...
We entered the backyard, it was the first time for me that sit with dogs, too many dogs and no one is holding them, they were liking me and toughing me and I was afraid, I was standing in my place but one my friends who went with me was setting on the floor with them and told me see why I'm telling you, " you can't have a dog"..

Wrong way !!

WRONG WAY !!

This is what my friends told me at the beginning about having a new dog..

From the point that this will be the first time that we will have new dog and we don't have experince with them, it is gonna be hard for us to deal with a new dog, they said a "DOG" needs someone who look after him !!

But we had a different opinion, not because of that we will give up, I think we may use to it, otherwise we are in teat and whether to pass it or to fail on it..

So our logo was "I Love Dogs"

A new dog..

I will tell you about my story with the first dog..
At the begainning when I came to Australia I lived with some friends but all these friends have things to do and started to feel free and have nothing to do so I thought about having a dog to spend the time that I feel free with this dog..
I talked to my friend about and he told me that was thinking about it before me so I was happy because he agrres..
We started to search for this dog but first, but do you know that we have no idea about dogs and how to deal with them and how to feed them and what we do if they become sick or something happen with them so we are going in a way which we don't know will happen then..
